Uggh ma do i gotta get up....... Hidden Treasures Summer Solstice 2003 Quarter Pony 12.3 hand Chesnut Mare
Summer is my little quarter horse replica, just in a smaller package. I bought her back in 2003, but basically really rescued her and the little stallion nappy. I answered an add for ponies for sale and was very disappointed in what i saw there. I offered them lower price on the filly only because i figured she could bounce back with some tlc. As for the lil guy i really didn't have any more $ to get him that day , but they were out of hay and wanted him to go to a good home. So i bargained with them for a while and traded a pony cart that i had picked up at a 4 h sale and so summer and nappy came home. It was a rough start, i had them veted, and their feet done with in 3 days of getting them home. The vet checked them and they had severely under weight, Lice, snotty noses, severe rain rot, abcesses in a couple hooves that were overgrown. spagetti bigger piles came out of them. I had never seen that many strongles especially from a small pony before! I had them quarintined on the property i was renting then, so as not to infect Don , emmm, and shelby. And even was turned in to the humane society, well when i called to let the director whom i knew from working with his wife that it was me and that i had just got them about a month earlier he just apologized. With a nother month in quarintine i removed all the lice, worms and the snotty noses cleared up, so it was time to introduce them to the herd at Tammy's. Now Summer is a healthy beautiful mare, who can gallop very fast. I am gonna see how my sisters pony mares come out of training and I am thinking about sending her for 30 days to this young trainer who does barrels and seems to a very accomplished young lady.
Summer love trailer rides and we have used her to teach the young Mistar on how to calmly load the trailer. She also loves to be a model for my picture obscession. She is very photogeninc, she will stand all squared up for me with out placing her feet.

DeDe , Kiki and Summer in the clean fly masks before they tore them off each other and I swear they dragged them aorund and stomped them in the mud... cause they are a mess.
